Yep it's that time of year again, Halloween! So we have all the old friends like Spooky Bob and Jack Hallow of which Jack offers some great quests for free to play players and has some great rewards. There is also the gauntlet as I've called it, or in other words the 3 big towers in Ravenwood which have some of the rarest drops I've seen in game. Also don't forget to drop by the wands shopkeeper in Wizard City to pick up a limited edition wand for some gold! However the most exciting news is the new Nightmare Pack, for a low low price 299 Crowns. It works the same as the other random packs with it's own unique rewards such as the awesome Nightmare Mount.

You could also get some of the Dark Wraith gear which looks.. dare I say evil... There is more though! 3 new pets, the Night Mare, Zombie Piggle (my favorite) and the Ghost Dragon. Don't forget the returning Black Cat pet.

Wizard101 Cancer Walk After Shots Winners

So first off I would like to thank everyone who came out and participated in this awesome event, reading all of your guy's stories about how maybe you've lost a loved one from cancer or maybe you yourself are battling cancer or someone you know. We raised a ton of awareness in the Spiral for a great cause.

Even though we had a few hicups along the route ( such as me getting sucked into a battle ) we were still able to stay together and spread the word. We had 3 different walks all going on at the same time in 3 different areas of Vampire witch is astounding. I started the walk in Area 1 and somehow finished in Area 2! It was great to talk to some of you guys and I am truly grateful that so many people came out for this cause. If you weren't able to participate you can check out some screenshots taken by me of the walk.

Cancer Walk 2011!

So it's been a long time since the last cancer walk and I felt that it is past due time for another one, plus today marks a certain personal anniversary but more on that later. SO this year's cancer walk is going to be bigger and better, more prizes and better organization and planning is going to make this the best cancer walk to date.

So today marks a special anniversary for me, you maybe be trying to guess what it is, today 3 years ago I hosted my first ever cancer walk. No I'm not talking about the one in Wizard101. The first one in Wizard101 was inspired by monthly cancer walks in another game. You may or may not have heard of Build-a-Bearville, it is quite different from Wizard101 but to me 3 years ago it was like chocolate, I LOVED the game I also LOVED the community and so I got active into the main community site, Build-A-Bearville Insider or BI. The genius who came up with the idea for walks was YellowRoseofTexas, she started the first ever cancer walk with set objectives, of which I tried to base the first cancer walk in Wizard101 off of, you can read them below as I desire for these to be our objectives as well.

Raise awareness of cancer and its challenges.
Show support for cancer victims, survivors and families touched by this disease.
Allow BearvilleInsider.com community members the experience of organizing a Virtual Care event and inspire them to see how they can get involved and make a difference.

I think this can be true for us as well. So anyways a few walks later I took on the daunting and I do mean daunting task of organizing 100's of people together for the August cancer walk. It turned out to be a great success. We were joined by the staff of Build-a-Bearville and went as far as to be featured in the in game newspaper. It was so much fun that I felt guilty to not bring it to Wizard101. I honestly could not have asked for a better turnout at the first Wizard101 cancer walk 2 years ago and I hope to see a as great of a turnout this year!

So onto the details and prizes! I know you are all eager to win some prizes soooo lets move onto the first of 3, yes 3 contests in which you can win epic prizes.

Like to garden in your Marleybone house but throw parties in your Sultan's Palace? Now you can quickly hop from one of your houses to another on the same character without unequipping and reequipping the different houses!

Teleporters have an entrance and an exit. When you first place a Teleporter through your Decorating Panel, you are marking its exit, then you will be prompted to place the Teleporter down so it can become the entrance.
You can place the entrance and exit in the same home.
You can also place the the exit in one home, and the Teleporter in another home, but that character must own both homes, because to do this, you must place the exit, unequip the current house, equip the other house and recall to it to place the Teleporter.
You cannot place the exit or the Teleporter in someone else's home.
You cannot place the exit or the Teleporter in an area that is not a house or dorm owned by your character.
You cannot place the Teleporter in the Shared Bank.

Wow, Wizard101 in China, it seems like everyday Wizard101 gets bigger and bigger. Not every game is available in so many countries, I honestly do think Wizard101 will become a global game. Wizard101 can only get bigger and it is expanding at such a rapid pace.

On another note this press release falls during Gamescon sooo what does this mean for PAX Prime which is just 8 days away, could we have a major announcement at PAX? Who knows I honestly think there will be a announcement but I could be wrong.

Test Realm Open!

of course whenever I go on vacation there is always some sort of update, I honestly don't remeber a update in which it did not go on the test server during my vacation, even worse I do not have access to a computer but wizard101 does not stop for me!

Just today the test server went live with a ton of new stuff, just in time for wizard101's birthday next month. This update is also the first large content update since Wizard101 hit 20 million wizards. This update also has a article written up about it over onIGN. You can check out some of the story for the new world Wysteria below!

Wysteria was once a trade post and pleasant enough small town in the Wizard City cluster, not too far away but of little consequence in the overall scheme of things, until a magical incident occurred that caused a crawling vine to grow and completely overrun the town.

Players who are level 25 or higher should speak to Merle Ambrose in his tower. He will offer you the quest "To the Registrar".

Pigswick Academy; Pigswick Academy is located at the heart of Wysteria and is a rival school to Ravenwood.

Inside the walls of this city a very special Magic tournament is about to take place and in your journey to solve the mystery involving the theft of an important school treasure it will be up to you to defend the honor and good name of Ravenwood School of Magical Arts!

Pegasus Place: Normally home to a host of pegasus aerie, this street has been overrun by a wave of goblins and hobgoblins, fierce and horrible creatures who escaped to Wysteria by hitching a ride with some unwitting students. They have blocked off the street, run amok and caused considerable damage to buildings, and are storming around, menacing students and residents alike.

Tanglewood Way: Tanglewood Way is ruled by the forces of nature. The gates are completely entangled with vines and seemingly are impassible, and two guards stand outside it keeping people away. Near the gate entrance is a crack in the wall that looks large enough to for a Wizard to sneak through...

I honestly can not wait to get home, there is so much to talk about, like PAX, Wysteria, New worlds and the other stuff hinted to be revealed throughout this update. There is only so much that can be done from a phone :p

Cheap Ole Crafter

Crafting is something that is no walk in the park for anyone, whether you are out hunting in the Spiral or combing the Bazaar for all of your Reagent needs. Though the Bazaar may be the easiest place for your Reagents needs it can also run your gold supply dry. So instead of going broke you could go through all of the Reagent maps looking for what you need but even then it is very time consuming looking for that one map that has that one Reagent you need. So instead of going on a wild goose chase throughout the Spiral you could just check out this crafting guide of a specific crafting quest item.

So to start off this week we have the Flamesoul Cloak. You can pick up the recipe in Mooshu, Kisibe Village from Suun Min, she is located by the river. Here is a list of all the things you will need to craft the cloaks needed for the quest

12 Natures Wrath's
28 Ruby's d
6 Crystal Vials
24 Ectoplasms
30 Frost Flowers
16 Black Pearls
40 Stone Blocks

Phew! That is a lot of Reagents and can be seemed daunting if you don't break it down. So let's get the easy ones out of the way first. You can buy 28 Rubys from Yuji Hamada in Mooshu Jade Palace for a total of 420 gold. Also buy the 6 Crystal Vials needed from Yuji for a gold total of 1980 and also buy 24 Shadow Oil for 480 gold total.

Now the ectoplasms can be a little hard to come by. Sadly it is a dropped Reagent so unless you are lucky enough to already have some you're going to have to go by the Bazaar to find some. Next are the Frost Flowers they can be found all over Colossus Boulevard. For black pearls you have a rare chance of getting some with Black Lotuses, the best place for them is perhaps in Kishibe Village. You can also go the transmute way by picking up the Black Pearl recipe for 400 gold in Jade Palace.

Then we have the 40 Stone Blocks, they can be found in the Palace of Fire easily. Lastly the 12 Nature's Wrath needs 48 Stone Blocks and 96 Cattails which can be found in the Jade Palace. You also need 12 Leprechauns and then 24 Shadow Oil which you should already have.

And Voila you have all the needed Reagents now you just need to craft it and turn in your quest. I hope you found this guide useful and expect more recipes to come soon!

Kingsisle's 2nd Project, Sooner Than We May Think

Ever since March of 2010 J. Todd Coleman has been the executive manager of what we only know as Kingsisle's Second Project. Very little information was known back when I first made a post about their project but fortunately that has changed somewhat. Now we have even more room for speculation and some cold hard facts about the 2nd project. Before we dive into the speculation lets take a look at the facts.

So as you can see we've learned a lot more since I first posted about the 2nd project. So all of this has been brought up recently because between now and last Thursday Kingsisle has completely changed their products page. This now shows Kingsisle Free Games, Wizard101, WizardBlox and of course their 2nd project. Scrolling through the products you will now see a few pictures of the product, luckily for us the same goes for each product. So yes we do have blurred pictures of Kingsisle's 2nd project, while they do not show much they show us what looks to be a part of a the UI and some of the locations we might come to expect in the 2nd project. So before you rush off to Kingsisle.com and look at the Products page take a look below at a much better picture without that pesky red label across one of the images.

Luckily the red label is not apart of the real picture but sadly we still have that big yellow question mark. Oh and if you were wondering where you can find the picture without the label it's in the source code for the website.

So now begins the wild speculation. In the first picture we can see what looks like an arctic area, perhaps this is some concept art for one of the locations in game or maybe, if we are lucky, it is a in game picture. Though it could very well be some clouds that have nothing to do with the 2nd project and was just put in as a place holder. The 2nd picture shows off a lush field with perhaps mountains in the background, again this could just be a placeholder. The last picture, and perhaps the most interesting of the 3, has the least amount of "blurage" of the other 2 but sadly it is the most covered up. There are 2 things we can pull from the last picture:

The UI, looking at the bottom of the picture you can see what appears to be the UI or User Interface. While it is not much it can tell us that at least in this stage of development there is a "utility belt" as I call it, think of it as all the pages in your spell book laid out horizontally at the bottom of your screen.
If you zoom in towards the top left and the top right of the picture you will see a light reddish color. It could just be a maple tree or something of the world. The reason I even brought it up is it could be something of the world (like the sky). Because of the implication that the next game will be fantasy orientated. We all know that earth unfortunately does not have red skies so maybe the setting is indeed some far away land.

As time goes on we keep getting more and more information and eventually it will lead up to the reveal whether it be some random day or at a large event, such as PAX or GDC we do know that it will be "soon" and whether or not that goes by "Valve Time" is entirely up to even more speculation. For now all we can do is speculate off of wild guesses or from the very few facts we have, only time will tell if our speculations were correct or absurd, well speculations :)

Ravenwood Radio 45 Tonight + New Housing Items in the Spiral

In other news last nights patch brought in some new housing items. The prices seem a bit high for the items on the crowns side of them but luckly you can buy them with gold also. My favorite item in the update would have to be the Theater Masks, I foolishly thought it was a real mask for your character at first and mistakenly bought 2 of them before I realized it was a housing item but it was only 5000 gold each so no biggie, check them out below!

Among the Theater Masks there are a Bright Blue Silk Kimono for 2000 Crowns or 10000 Gold, it is the most expansive item introduced in this update then you have a Great Moodha Statue, Khai Amahte Statue and a Prince Suten Sokkwi, yeah confusing names for those. So far Kingsisle has done a great job in terms of releasing new items throughout summer (which is almost over for me T-Minus 3 weeks)

WOW 20 Million registered users for Wizard101, that is a astounding number and very few other games have gotten this far. This is a gigantic accompishment for Wizard101, so big it was even on the news! Check it out here. History of meetups and events in Wizard101

So yes the Ravenwood Ball was yesterday and to celebrate this great event I thought I would do a post about the history of meet ups and events in Wizard101. So without further to do I present to you the History of Meet Ups and Events in Wizard101.

The first event ever hosted was simply know as the Wizard101 Gathering of 2009. It was hosted by the Wizard101 Wiki. The event featured massive trading card parties and a race from Krok. to Mooshu to win a treasure card (They were pretty useful back then) The gathering even had it owns trailer!

The event also included a contest for a $10 gift card for the best picture of the event. The meetup could not have gone better, the turn out was amazing and it featured almost every blogger. Everyone was wearing their best outfits even Friendly Necromancer who broke out his amazing Santa outfit. About halfway into the event we all moved inside the pyramid where we preceded to sing songs around the campfire.

The event lasted much more than the 1 hour allotted. The most talked about subject at the event was of course pancakes and waffles. Yeah I have no idea either...

The next event was the first ever Meet and Greet. It was hosted by your truly and allowed all of the bloggers to come together and meet their fans. I could not have asked for a better outcome, there were tons of people there hours before the event started. It was hosted in MooShu in the Jade Palace in the minigame area. That space quickly filled up so we then moved to in front of the Jade Oni instance area for the best Grizzleheim outfit contest. We all then moved to the rock garden area where we took group pictures and one of perhaps my favorite pictures from a event, the bloggers only picture with everyone blogger who showed up in it.

The next event was SOMG or Second Official Meet and Greet. This time around I co-hosted with the lovely Fallon Shadowblade. The main idea of the first meet and greet stayed true for the second one but this time it included more activities. This time around we had so much going on we needed to have bullet points to list all the activities :P

* Group Questing

The meet and greet was hosted in Nightside and in a matter of minutes of the event starting we filled up Area 1. The turnout was amazing, everyone had fun and just as the last meet and greet it lasted for a bit longer that the measly hour given for it. I also was able to get some great group pictures!

The next event and perhaps my most favorite event would be the Cancer Walk. The goal of this event was to spread the word of cancer. It was co-hosted by me and the lovely Fallon Shadowblade. The event included a in-game walk, a race and a speed run battle to see who could defeat Rattlebones the fastest. The turnout was great and it was really fun. It was for a great cause and it help spread cancer awareness.

The next event was first Ravenwood Ball, it was hosted by Diary of a Wizard in honer of them turning 1 year old. It also marked the 1,000th member to join Diary of a Wizard ConnectX. It was hosted in Ravenwood and featured a plethora of contests. All of the big stars from around the Spiral were there. Ravenwood Radio also has a short red carpet show of the event. The event winded down a few hours after the start time but not before all of the stars were flooded with friend requests. The party did expend to houses and that's it actually seemed possible to get a picture without being mobbed, like this one check out this picture from Diary of a Wizard

The next and more recent event was the Second Annual Ravenwood Ball and Birthday Bash. And as always it was hosted by Diary of Wizard, after all it was there 2 year birthday! This year's bash was the biggest yet, have around 20 or so areas during the event and having area 1 fill up hours before it started. As always everyone came in their best outfit. Some of the highlights included a huge group of fire elves clustering in front of Bartleby and another cluster of skeletal pirates behind the ice school. The mobs began to do what they do best when Friendly arrived, he was instantly mobbed and had no chance to escape. Perhaps the most fun part of the whole event was the mini-parties, it allowed various people from the community to open their home up for guest to come in. It turned out great as while there was a ton of people in Ravenwood there was also a ton of people in various mini-parties around the Spiral. Amidst the chaos the whole crew over at Ravenwood Radio was able to get this great group pic, it looks great, especially with the ninja pig bowing down.

And that about wraps up the history of events in Wizard101. I know I might have missed one or two though. Hoped you enjoyed this little post!

2nd Ravenwood Ball Reminder

It will be like that though in do time... As a matter of fact I made a countdown till the bash and you can check it out right here. I can almost taste it!

Perhaps the most important decsion you will make for this bash is what clothes shoud I wear. Everyone will be attending this and you want to look your best. So you might be asking what am I going to wear and my answer is a very simple one I shall be wearing the uber rare, old and forgotten Ninja Pig transformation, don't believe me? See what's been sitting in my gift claiming area for around 9 months...

I've been saving it for something special and I feel like this is a great time. You have no idea the delicacy I go through when I am redeeming items, so ever careful not to redeem the Ninja Pig. I have always been a fan of the Ninja Pig, in fact he is my favorite pet/ai/card in the game. I really wish I could just walk around in the Ninja Pig transformation. Sure the suit is great but the transformation looks a lot better.

Day 2 of Decorating Massive Sultan's Palace

So I've finally gotten around to re-decorating my Sultan's Palace, if you have not seen all the work I've already done go ahead and check it out. So I decided this time to decorate the outside area around the dueling circle and the ground below the dueling area. I first started off with trying some to add some dragon themed items symmetrically to the outside of the dueling circle, but in the end I did not have enough objects to go all the way around so I confined them all to the front of the dueling circle while mixing in 2 wood barriers from MooShu.

As I moved onto the back I realized that I had a lot of misculsions items so I just placed a few of them here and there. Now moving onto the lower area to the right of the dueling circle I tried to make a ruins area with some of my worn down dragon items like Nightshade's bones. I also used the corner Dragonspyre ruins pieces to form a "house" and inside I placed several of my dragon pets but in the end they just seemed to wander off. Further back into the lower level I placed some of my Kroktopopia ruin items. Along side the ruins I placed one of my favorite, and oldest, items in the game, the Jail Cell! The Jail Cell is great for trapping your friends in and getting great pictures. I finish the are up by adding some more bones and a Drake Egg and there I have my "ruins" area.

I then move onto the inside where I sat there for quite some time wondering what could I put in the center area of the whole house, it is too wide open for a bedroom and whatever goes in it would need to take up a lot of space. Then it came to me, it would be the perfect place for all of my crafting tables. So I hastily threw them down around the front part of the open area. I then find that the towards the back of the open area it is completely empty. At first I sorta solved the issue by placing a spiral carpet down but it proved not to be enough. I then came up with a very random addition to place in the middle of it, 2 chameleons eating jellybeans.

Its not the most fitting idea for that area but it worked, at least in my mind, and with that I called it a day.

So I hope you enjoyed the read and I do apologize as yeah I know I'm not the best of decorators :P

Firstly Jester is not abusing his power, he does not need a reason to ban you it is his site. Secondly Jester did not steal any of my work, he has started his own guide. Also Jester did send the email with the rock insult to me, whether it was direct to me or not I do not know I assumed it was since it was sent to me email by him. Now to Jester, you say that I have yet to move on with my life and to that let me remind you that the last time I was in contact with you was 6/14/11, 4 days ago. Reagent Mapping Update and Other Drama

Well in case you have not noticed there has been a Reagent map update! This latest update includes Krokotopia excluding the instances. I have been making steady progression and plan to have MarleyBone done by Saturday. I also am taking submissions for locations of Reagents. Head on over to the Reagent map page to learn how you can help. Also, thanks to a friend of mine notifying me, I would like to point out that Wizard101 Central has a thread put up where they are making their own maps. The thread maliciously uses the same url as the one I made but it gives the credit to Jester. I also discourage people from adding onto the thread over their since , coming from my friend, the thread creator so far has put forth no effort and is seeming to just be dependent on the community. Most likely it the thread over their will copy my maps but I'm satisfied with being the true Reagent master. Jester has also maliciously spread lies regrading my last post. Here is the quote from a email between me him and my lawyer.

Well obviously that is not true, I wrote down everyone's name on that thread that had contributed in some way shape or form. All of the pictures on that thread were downloaded for use to help with mapping Reagents. I have not used any of the submissions in that thread until the Krokotopia update. Hence is why you will find a "Thanks To:" list at the top of the page. He also "insulted" me with the old rock joke

He responded with that when we proved that his excuse, that all posts on Wizard101 Central become copyright property of Wizard101 Central, invalid and that it would not hold up in court. And with that we are left alone to go back to the normal hum drum of mapping Reagents.

In Regards to my Ban on Wizard101 Central

So in case you did not know I was just recently banned from Wizard101 Central do to the fact that I removed the Reagent maps from Central. The maps were made by me so therefore I would have every right to remove them. The reason behind this is that 1. it is a lot harder to upload and maintain the maps through Central, which is one of the reasons I was so discouraged to update them in the first place. 2. The maps had not been updated in months. When I approached Jester telling him that I would be removing them I also asked for him to remove all of my gold and thanks accumulated from that thread as the content is no longer there so no need for credit when the thread does not exist. I also said to Jester and I am also going to say to you this is not an act of greed to get views. I also did not proved a link back to my site whatsoever. The ban seems to be permanent and the reason being under "Are you even kidding me, you are going to remove content?" And that's the end of it.

The point of this post is not to lure you away from Central. Wizard101 Central is a great site composed of a great community. It is run by the best and the staff there dedicate a lot of their time to making such a great community. I will still be listening to every Wizard Weekly and will still attend events planned on Central also. I am not trying to glorify me and say I was wrongfully banned, the staff reserve's the right to ban anyone with any cause, Jester runs the place and he can do anything he wants to on his site. Day 1 of Decorating Massive Sultan's Palace

So now with all of my Dragon Hoard plunder I have decided to finally get around to decorating the massive Sultan's Palace. The reason I was so reluctant to get around to decorating it was because I felt I only had a few items and therefore it would be foolish to try to decorate this massive house with 25 or so items. However foolish of me I had the majority of my stuff in my myth house, which I completely forgot about... So now I have around 220 items to decorate with. That is more than enough to completely fill this massive house.

I started off by looking at what the majority of my items were and I noticed they were are all "life items" such as trees flowers and other growing things. I had so much from my other house the large Mooshu one that I kinda do miss ( I sold it ) So instead of putting trees all around the desert I decorated the oasis area of the massive house and I think it turned out great. Its amazing what randomly placing Tiger Lilies everywhere can do to a place. Another thing that goes hand and hand to the Tiger Lilies are Small Maple trees, they are in fact not small but rather medium size which makes it perfect for the tropical oasis To finish off I placed some benches and flowers around and Volia I gave some life to this desert house.

Now I moved onto to the interior with the plan of decorating my bedroom but to my surprise I had no bed! So I guess I'll have to go buy one later. So instead of a bedroom I decided to do another room, I like to call it "the discovery room" its really just a place where I would put all of my Kroktopia stuff.
I started off by placing a lot of tables for all of my books and vases. I then hung up odds and ends on the walls from various worlds. Once I placed other things that would not fit on the table, such as large vases and crystals, I had almost finished the room. All that was left to do was find something to put in the showcase and in the "balcony" that overlooks into the main room. After going through my attic for quite some time I found a perfect golden chest to go in the showcase. While I was going through my attic I found the Grand Astrolabe, thinking it was a small wall hanging I took it out and then when I placed it, to my surprise, it was huge and it seemed to fit perfectly in the overhang. So I put some carpet and wallpaper and then I was finally done.

And with that this concludes my first day of decorating, I'm still a noob at decorating but I hope I can improve. So leave your comment below or just check one of the box below.

Why Blowing 4 thousand Crowns was totally worth it...

So with the most recent patch on Wizard101 up popped a new Crown booster pack popped up on the Crown Shop. The name of said booster pack is Dragon Hoard and with it comes a chance at 7 random items ranging from mega pet snacks to ultra rare mounts that can only be achieved by pure luck ( seriously 4 thousand Crowns did not do it for me...) Just to highlight a few you can win a ulrtra rare Bone Dragon Mount (its huge!) a Double Handed Blade, new Dragon pets, Dragon Rider's Gear and some other things mixed in between. So you can get the card for the "it seems low when you look at it" price of 399 Crowns. Sure 399 Crowns? That's all? Heck I'll get it! Oh darn I did not get ANY of the stuff listed... Maybe I should try again... 4 thousand Crowns later you end of with a big smile on your face a tons of loot :D

So no not everyone has all of those Crowns laying around just to spend all willy nilly BUT no matter what you get you'll sure to be happy. There was only 1 time that I did not get a "Rare" item and a rare item is classified as say a permanent Dragon Wing mount or a new dragon pet or even this amazing Dragonrider's Utility Helm which looks great!

So lets take a look at a random set of rewards I got from 1 pack.

Uncommon: 1

Reagent: 2

Common: 1

Rare: 1

Treasure Card: 2

*This is assuming that the words such as "common" refer to the chance of getting the item in the pack, not the estimated value of the item in game.

So if you look at it from one Dragon Hoard you will see that the term "Common" is not the most likely item you will get that title would go to either reagents or treasure cards. So lets expand this from instead of 1 Dragon Hoard to 6 and see if it is the same ratio...

Uncommon: 10

Reagent: 11

Common: 8

Rare: 6

Treasure Card: 6

Mega Snacks: 1

For the uncommon it seemed to follow the pattern, increasing by 9 with 6 packs. While on the Reagent side it seemed to double with 6 packs. Common increased with the amount of packs, give or take 2. Rare was right on with the amount of rare items increasing as the amount of packs increased, but this does not mean there was a rare in every pack. The same goes for treasure cards even though there was not a treasure card in every pack of the 6. Mega Snacks seemed to be like the Ultra Rare items as I only got 2 Mega Snacks from my whole shopping spree.

So what does all of this mean? Well it means you have a pretty good chance at getting a lot of Reagents and a lot of uncommon stuff. So if you are wondering what are some of these uncommon items are then check out all of the uncommon items from the set of 6. If you ask me those are some pretty good items for uncommon, especially since I got 10 for 6 packs.

So I did get a lot more that just 6 packs. I started with around 4 thousand Crowns but I quickly spent all of that down to a mere 276 Crowns that I now have. So lets check out some of the dragon themed furniture I got from spending all of those Crowns...

Now with all of this dragon themed furniture I can finally get around to actually making my Sultan's Palace look half decent decoration wise. Like really I have nothing decorated in that house... I did get a lot of other stuff, while I did not screenshot all of the openings I did take a picture of the loot pop ups in chat. I plan to organize all of these items into a list of all the possible items you can get from the Dragon's Hoard with organization by common,uncommon, treasure card. And all of the other categories.


That totals at 77 items, aka 11 packs at 399 Crowns each

So if you are STILL not persuaded to go buy at least one pack then let me highlight some of the best items that I got.

Well to sum everything up this just brings back memories of the Wishing Well, I feel like the little kid I talked about in that article. I am saying that I do welcome this new booster pack and it has quite a few differences from the Wishing Well. Also note on the gear, the robes, shoes and hat all look the same but the stats and color are different and seem to pertain to the name of said gear, so no you can't die your new dragon gear. 1 more thing, all of the stats are taken from a level 52 life wizard, the stats are different for those at level 60 but the appearance is the same.

The Return of "Mapping"

Well it's about time I am able to return to Reagent mapping, but this time it will be slightly different and will look 10x better. So instead of talking about it check out below!

So this time instead of just mapping Reagents I will also be mapping collectibles and quest items. No more having to look all over Central for the locations of Smiths and then being unable to find a quest item, it will all be in one place. I also have improved my method of organization so I can make these maps 10x faster. For now I only have Wizard City done with this new standard but I will continue to work on these maps all summer. 2 years... 2 years the Wizard101 community has had the amazingness that is know as Fallon Shadowblade help, blog and most importantly established a GREAT community that is still bustling. Yes Diary of a Wizard is 2 years old today! You know what else has to do with 2's that's upcoming? The 2nd Annual Ravenwood Ball but more on the ball later. Now is the time to guess what else has to do with 2's. I don't know its just this small thing not really important. Evil Theurgist is 2 years old! Well not exactly this day but this month. I've been waiting to break the "news" till I finish school (Which would explain my inactivity) and until I finish the rebirth of a little project (and that's all you'll hear about the project!)

So back to the ball, this years ball is going to be huge! Instead of filling up one area with everyone then having people struggle to get in there will be "mini" party's in bloggers houses with free transportation provided by gracious people volunteering their time. Now Test Realm is online but that is not to test Mounts being able to roam around your house. But there is one more thing I would like to bring up and that is the new humgifrog pet that is "Is coming soon" I don't know about you guys but if I could I would already be pro-ordering it. Now not only is there a humgifrog pet but also you can see a Kraken and a Scarecrow pet. There is some speculation over at Wizard101 Central that these may be new level 58 pets, I don't know but I guess we will just have to wait to find out!

Well today is the last day of Where in the World is Joe? I'm gonna be doing something a bit different here so check out today's hint!

OK So this being the last day I'm gonna throw in a hint and another contest and more eggs! So first off today's hint for Where in the World is Joe is INSIDE the mumbo jumbo of text, in fact the name of the exact location is inside the text but not only is the name of the location in there but is also the location of a certain page on my blog. I shall not leave you alone with this confusing text so I shall post the pattern used between the names of the 2 locations. I take 2 letters from the begging of the each location, the Where in the World is Joe location being first then the location of the certain page. I then alternate in order 2 letters of each location like this, where's Joe location, location of page, and so on until I run out. Here is another hint, the location of one the eggs (The one with egghead) is the location of the said page. So you have 4 pages possible, which one could it be?

So once you have figured out the location of Joe and also the name of the certain page post a comment below with your 2 guess's. The first person to correctly guess them wins 2,500 Crowns, please only comment once and also leave a way for me to contact you.

So the cat’s out of the bag! Our next release will include a new area called Wintertusk, a place that completes the story begun in Grizzleheim. You knew there had to be more coming, right? We can’t just leave things on a cliffhanger like that. There will be wolves, ravens, and bears, as you'd expect, but your character will encounter some other epic bad guys too. You won’t be alone, though: in Wintertusk your Wizard will finally meet Grandmother Raven. She should be a great aid to you as your character encounters mysteries and challenges across the Spiral.

That’s not all though! We’re also proud to announce that we’re going to be releasing something hugely requested by the Wizard101 community: high level quest pets! You may have wondered why we asked about pets on Feedback Friday a while ago... that’s the reason! We’re fired up for Wizards to discover new companions to aid you in your journeys throughout the Spiral. They won’t be easy to obtain… but the spoils will be worth the effort!

Another exciting new feature is new and upgraded spells. With Celestia, we gave you some visually super cool epic spells, and now we’re adding more toys for your arsenal. With our new content, we allow your Wizard's other spells to gain in power as well. Your Wizard will be able to “upgrade” one existing spell and will get something new. Your Wizard must be level 58 to get these quests. It won’t be as easy as walking up to a trainer, but you should find that your time obtaining them has been well spent.

With many of the new additions to the game this update, we want to make sure Wizards already at Legendary status have a meaningful way to increase their powers. Each school will have their own, but here are some examples. Balance Wizards, we found some ancient and powerful magic to provide you a new, shiny, and more powerful healing over time spell! Storm Wizards, you’ll find some awesome damage at your disposal, but with great capability comes great danger. Speaking of such things, you’ll also find a new area with the toughest combat yet, but the spoils will most certainly befit the difficulty. These challenges will be presented to our most powerful Wizards. If you fall into that category, let me just say… I hope you’re up for the challenge!

Have you wondered what became of Crab Alley? What happened after the Crab folk went on tour with Selena Gomez? You won’t have to wait too long to find out, get ready to explore our newly expanded Crab Alley! It will be right up your alley if your Wizard is around level 10-15.

New features to spells and pets are gonna be great, unless Life gets something to increase their healing powers. Yeah so after all there is some news coming from PAX East, check out everything below!

The upcoming Wizard101 World will be called Wintertusk.

Wintertusk will complete the epic storyline that began with Grizzleheim.

The update will offer new things to do, and areas to explore, for powerful high-level Wizards AND lower-level students just beginning their adventures.

Some of the things that players will have to look forward to with this update include:

• Brand new areas for high-level Wizards to discover and explore
• New spells
• Level 58 class pets for each primary School
• A revamped underwater introduction zone for lower level characters. This area will continue the story of the Crab King.
• Many additional surprises (we are saving some of the best details to reveal at a later date).

So yes this is a bit late (Forgot my laptop charger at home) BUT better late than never! So while at PAX in case you did not know Kingsisle had a booth out there and you could drop by and get some free crowns! This being Kingsisle's 3rd time at a convention they seem to be making a bigger impression with each convention, I would love to see Wizard101 at E3. (OK that's a little far fetched but still a possibility)

So before I left for PAX I heard about some other Wizard101 bloggers heading to PAX. One of the blogs I am talking about is written (or should I say shot) by a furry orange creature that goes by the name Ditto. Yeah so you may have heard about Ditto already but maybe what you have not heard about was his interview with Fred Howard (Watson) check it out!

1,000 Free Crowns for Filling Out a Survey

Yes it is true, you can get 1,000 free Crowns by simply filling out this survey conducted by Trinity University. You have between March 8 and March 23 to fill out the survey. Its open to existing Wizard101 account holders who maintain an active Membership, or have purchased Crowns within the last 30 days. Pre-Paid card or Gift Certificate purchases do not qualify.

So gift cards don't count but paying members are free to participate. The survey is looking for both young wizards and also adult wizards. Also all of your information you submit is kept confidently, so no need to fret over your personal information being published and whatnot.

So when will I get my crowns?

Well it does seem to be a bit far away but you will receive your crowns around Apirl 15, 2011 and don't forget, you only can do the survey one time for each account. So what are you waiting for? Go fill out the survey now!

Celestia Housing on Test!

Yep thats right, Celestia has 2 new houses to offer, one that you can buy with gold or crowns(The Island Getaway) or a utlra awesome space themed one that you can craft(The Celestial Observatory). The The Celestial Observatory is said to be a challenge to players, hmmm it cant be that hard? Well anyways check out the pictures of the 2 new castles, I'll have more in dept pictures once I am done patching Test Realm.

Woot! dueling circle! So it seems that the Celestial Observatory looks a bit hard to craft, check out the specs. below.

From mu In my opinion it seems that this craftable house is not worth it that much I mean you will spend a lot of time getting all the stuff for this it seems and plus the island while it looks cool lacks space and the "pazam" (if that's a word) In other words it lacked the ohhh and awww point besides being in space. Though getting this would make your friends jealous for the extreme amount of time you would need to invest to get this house.

There also is a few new furniture items, and I do have some favorites though out of the 30+ new furniture items. Check em out below.

How does your Garden Grow? Since we've released Gardening to the Spiral, you've given us some feedback that let us see how players are Gardening, what's missing, what's confusing and what needs to be made more fun. Here are some updates to Gardening that will address some of these issues. There is a new tab in your Gardening window for pots and items. The base of plants will now glow when they are ready to be harvested. New Dorm rooms will start with two pots of soil. To avoid confusion, the wording "Time to harvest" has been changed to "Time until Harvest" to better reflect the time is indicating how long before you can harvest that plant. Gardening Treasure Cards can now be trashed by right-clicking them in your deck. Also to avoid confusion, the icon indicating your plant needs magic now has a white pip to represent magic, and no longer a yellow pip which was easily confused with the 'needs sun' icon. All plants now like pixies. Stinkweed will now grow faster! Once a plant is in a pot, you cannot pick them up! You can now harvest plants while you are in the Gardening window. Gnomes will no longer trip you up as you run around your Garden. Treasure Cards that affect all plants now clarify that they only affect plants in the current zone of your house (indoors/outdoors) Pots and plants now count towards your housing item count. There is no longer a 'gardening' item count. Each pot, plot and plant individually counts as an item in your house. Enchanted soil spells now cost the correct amount of energy shown on the spell. For those of you who navigate the Spiral using your mouse to move, you will no longer cast a gardening spell when you release the mouse button used to walk. The Imperial Palace contained an area that you could plant on, but not reach to harvest. You can now click on plants in those areas to harvest them.

World Updates


	Life is change. Here are some minor changes in the worlds and creatures of the Spiral. Wizard City So as not to confuse our new players, Pet Snacks and Reagents will be removed from the creatures in Unicorn Way. Boris Tallstaff has taken up a new location in the library. Players will be given the quest "Grim Tales" at a higher level. More chests have been added to Unicorn Way Players will be able to get the quest "Pesky Pirates" after they have completed "Stop the Maker". Grizzleheim Orn in Grizzleheim has a new quest! Krokotopia The clue to direct you to Oka's chest is a little clearer to decipher. Mooshu Ahn Fu has decided to take a new ancestral name and is now known as Ahn Nao. The Emperor is no longer missing from his bed when the player is on the quest "An Imperial Cure". Dragonspyre Dungeon time indicators have been adjusted to more accurately represent the approximate time it will take a player to complete the area. Celestia Selwyn Skywatcher and Unimatus have learned the error of their ways and will no longer cheat. Celestia creatures that were appearing to resurrect after defeat should now stay defeated. Speak up! Celestia characters that had no voice will once again speak their mind! You will download individual files for those that were missing their voice chat.

Membership Benefits


	Current active subscribers who have paid with a credit card are now part of our Wizard101 Membership Program! As part of our Wizard101 Membership Program, players who have made a subscription purchase with a valid credit card in the last 30 days, or have an active recurring subscription will have these added features: Energy will refill twice as fast. Your backpack will grow to 120 slots. Your Crafting Timers will now reset twice as fast. Your friends list will expand to 120 people. This does not apply to players who use their credit card to purchase Crowns. This does not apply to players who use Gift Certificates or Gift Cards to make their purchases in Wizard101. You will have these benefits as long as you have an active renewing membership. These benefits expire when your membership expires. Please note, when your membership expires (you are no longer an active subscriber) your backpack will return to 100 slots and you will not be able to put more items in your backpack until you empty out the overflow. Your friends list will also return to 100 maximum, and you will not be able to add new friends until you remove the overflow.

Crown Shop

Some Gold prices have changed.
The 'Sale' Tab has been renamed to the Featured Tab and will now Feature items that are both on sale, and not on sale.
Henchmen will now sort by level not school. You can easily reorder the Henchmen in List View.

The following items will be removed from the Crown Shop, and from Zeke where applicable:

White Mare Mount (permanent, 7 day and 1 day rentals)
Purple Glider Mount (permanent, 7 day and 1 day rentals)
Faithful Dragoness (permanent and 7 day rental)
Celestian Sword

There's always the chance these items will return in the future, but for now, they will be removed from the Crown Shop & Zeke.

Miscellaneous Updates


	Crafting Golden Pearls and Pearls will be slightly easier to find. Arcane Ampule recipe now calls for Mutate Minotaur Treasure Cards, not Elucidite Treasure Cards Celestian Stilletto recipe now calls for Giant Treasure Cards, not Simplify Treasure Cards Pets Ice Hounds will now cast their own spells, and won't make the player cast for them! The Polar Cat now gives 1 Dragonblade Card as intended. Jade Oni and Earthwalker pets will now have the chance of manifesting spells that match their school. Mounts The Charity Meowmodon has had its speed increased to 40% to match the other permanent mounts. Housing The Housing menu will now indicate how many free Housing slots you have. Owners of the Castles & Lands that contain a PvP circle can now boot any players engaged in a duel in their house. Players can no longer sell a house that still contains pets. Grizzleheim wallpaper & tile are available at the Grizzleheim furniture store! Spells A new Treasure Card Pack has arrived in the Crowns Shop: The Hand of Doom Pack! Summon world bosses to fight at your side! Efreet's Weakness effect can now be removed by Cleanse Charm Level 60 Ice Henchman has an improved deck and will taunt less frequently. Energy So as not to confuse our new Wizards, the Energy globe will not appear until a player has a pet or completes the Gardening introduction quest.

So about this time last year Wizard101 raised just over 125,000 for charity and this year they are hoping to do it all again, so if you want to donate to charity just buy the Giving Tree Seed ,from the crown shop, for 2,500 crowns ($5.00) and in turn Kingsisle will donate all of that money, every cent of it to, Children's Medical Center and Austins Children Shelter., Below is what the giving tree looks like.

Gardening in a Nutshell

So currently on test their is a great new feature, gardening! This is a fun new feature which allows you to basically garden. Their are 4 different stages of a plants life, seedling, young plant, mature plant and elder plant. So to progress through these stages it takes time and a few spells. You can get new spells from one of the many new trainers in various places in the world these spells vary from bug killers to revving a dead plant and with each spell comes with its unique animation, like the one for rain.

Also you can buy seeds from these new vendors, the seeds you can buy vary from a simple dandelion to my favorite a fickle pickle.

Each plant has it's own unique style and animation which really brings your garden to life. But if your thinking about going out and buying all the seeds and making a massive garden all clumped together it won't grow very fast at all. The reason for this is because each plant has its likes and dislikes, for an example a Dandelion hates Stinkweed but loves Garden Gnomes and depending on whats around the plant will help or hinder it's growth. So if you are really anxious about harvesting your plants really fast do what I did.

Surround your plants by Gnomes, now it looks like not much has grown it's because I just put the gnomes in about a day after I first planted. So after you finally get your plant to mature you can harvest it and yes their is a reward for all the time you've put into your garden. Every now then every day you can harvest for reagents, pet snacks, gold, treasure cards, or more seeds. Now go out into test realm and garden!

Celestia Goes Live on Wednesday! Wild Bolt Tweaked!

So first off the most exciting news, Celestia will finally go live! After just over 2 weeks of testing Celestia is ready for release! Just yesterday some last minute changes were made to the test realm. The wild bolt issue has finnaly reached a resolve! So many of you know about "the Wild Bolt issue" And many of you PvP'ers have come to love/hate this card due to its incredible damage it inflicts on its poor victims. Currently on live wild bolt has the stats of:

Yeah, it's powerful, but currently on test the card has had a major tweak to it.Wednesday

Yeah, big difference now instead of 10% chance of a hit you now have a 70% chance but with that increased accuracy comes a drawback. EDIT: It has been updated again removing the 1 from the damage options " 10 or 100 or 1000" Wow so 7/10 times you will get a hit and out of those 7 times that you do get a hit you will either deal 10,100,1000 damage, hmmm. Well this is a pretty big change to this card, this card now has a "Risk vs Reward" element in it. So you could buff yourself up and hope for 1,000, but how disappointing would it be to just deal a measly 1 damage? Very much, with this update it seems like this card is going to be played as a "round opener" by casting it as your first attack in order to get in before the shields are casted, instead of being played as buff the storm guy up and pray it doesn't fizzle.

Well in case you have been living under a rock for the past day or two you would know about a big thing called Celestia coming out on test. So I had to drag myself away from the amazingness that is on Test Realm currently, so I'm just going to write a short comment about all the new features as I must get back to Celestia!

Celestia itself:
Celestia is amazing, it's nothing like a world before, everything is new, nothing taken from other worlds or nothing like that. It has this steampunk/Marlybone theme to it that fits in really well with the new story arc (which is a great story arc by the way!) So I will have more about Celestia itself once I actually finish it.

Critical hits and blocks
WOW this is a step in the right direction Kingsisle, many other games have this and it worked out great for them and so far I LOVE it, I don't know how much I will love it after I get killed by a crit in PvP but still it's a great feature.

New Music
Not much to say here besides the fact that I just love the new music! It sounds great!

New Schools
WOW, these new schools add a whole new layer of depth into combat that satisfys hardcore players and casual players alike.

Sun School
Not much to say here besides being able to make your cards extremely stronger, would work great with a Storm soloer.

Moon School
One word: Tanking, this moon school will show a whole new strategy to battles. For those who are not familiar with the term tanking here is what it means and how it will change combat (PvE at least) Tanking is having one or more players have the most health, gear and power. So say you are going into a boss fight, player A is the "tank" and everyone else is support for the tank, the tank would have the most health and would use his taunts to draw all attacks on him.

Star School
Focuses on Auras, lets you boost everyone else up and increase their damage, pips, crit chance, accuracy and block chances. I think this will play a big role in PvP and in boss fights when you don't have a balance wizard.

New Reagents
Oh geez here we go again.

"So I go back to get my revenge against the ghosts and after defeating them in battle I find out I have completed a quest, so I got claim my reward only to get another treasure card, but luckily I am given another quest that I hope is my last quest of this area."

"So my last quest entitled "Stop the Marker" so I quickly run to the tower that this boss is hiding out in. On my way through the streets I wonder what could the wand and furniture reward be?"

Very short post as it has been extremely busy around here.

"After picking up the pace I finally see the mysterious figure it was Malistaire but I only got a glimpse of him before he got away as I got pulled into a battle, I only wonder what Malistaire would be doing here..."

"So as I looked up I saw a dark sky filled with stars and a moon, also above I see wizards riding around from place to place."

" After defeating the rats running around I had to help some of the citizens around and after doing a few quests with them I knew I was done with this street"

Say Hello to Joseph Wyrm

Say hello to Joseph Wyrm! So you guys decided as to what school my new wizard should choose. His primary school is Balance! and his secondary is storm, yeah I know that does not match up to what the poll says but when I made him the poll was majority on storm, plus I don't want another life guy :P

So this combantion does sound weird but it surprisingly works really good, or at least so far, I buff with my balance spells and stack my deck full of storm spells and I can cut down enemies pretty quickly which is something that I hate about being life, you have a long long battles unless you are with a storm or fire wizard. So after doing some quests around Wizard City and then after helping Dorthy and getting red slippers ( Wizard of Oz easter egg? ) I kill a few dark fairys and then get the most used spell I think ever in Wizard101, Pixie this spell heals you 200 health for a measly 2 pips, whats not to like about that?

So I get the idea to go through some of my alts and find some old gear for Joseph Wyrm, and I found a TON of stuff, including a few pets I though I accidentally deleted, some of the old old crown gear and some newbie gear. So now my Wyrm (my nickname for him) is extremely strong now compared to other level 6 wizards. After blazing by Lady Blackhope I move onto Triton Avenue and and go through the haunted cave and meet some of my evil counter parts.

We could be twins! After going through a few quests defeating this collecting that I decide to take a break and go reagent hunting and to no avail I find only 3 ores :/ And that's my day on Wyrm. I hope to finish Wizard City by monday but I don't think that will happen.

GenCon Report

GenCon! So in case you did not know I attended Gencon this last weekend, so most of you know that Kingsisle was planning to be there. So after looking around all of the exhibit hall I finally found the Beckett booth where Wizard101 was sharing half the booth with Beckett, and I have to say it was a pretty nice setup. They had a monitor playing through some Wizard101 stuff and they had a few developers and artists there and they where handing out free codes for 2,500 crowns ( I must admit to coming back to the booth repeatedly for these crown codes :D ) And along with that they had a deal where if you purchased a Beckett magazine or subscription they would take your email and send you a code for a Gencon Exclusive pet, Storm Snowman! I myself have not received my pet yet but here is what it looks like.

I have been told that this pet is extremely powerful, I'll update this post with all the stats once I get mine.
So I bought a subscription to Beckett, AND I got to spin the wheel, on this wheel they had several prizes from Webkinz trading cards to codes for 10,000 gold for Wizard101. I was lucky enough to get 3 spins but sadly I did not win the 10,000 gold code, oh well.

So unfortunately I came on Sunday and that being the last day most of the Wizard101 crew had left, but they left Jeff aka the Gobbler King, and in case you did not know who Jeff is he is the guy who makes all the doodles for Wizard101. So he was there drawing everyone's Wizard, and I have to say these doodles are awesome, he laughed when I asked him to draw a Evil Theurgist.

Now that's cool

Also inside the Beckett magazine there is a code for a 7 day Starlight Pony mount, I myself already have this mount but if you would like to win this just comment below with a way for me to contact you ( yes I have fixed the unable to make a comment issue) and I will randomly pick someone from the comments . I might even throw in a code for 2,500 crowns ;)

So in all I feel like Wizard101 did make a impact and I have to say there was a crowd around the Beckett/Wizard101 booth. I do wish I could have been their when the whole crew was there, but I guess they had to get back to work on Celestia, oh well I had fun and it was nice to meet The Gobbler King and I hope I see Wizard101 at more of these conventions aka PAX Prime /wink /wink at Kingsisle

Producer's Letter

Wizard101 recently added a new section called Producer's letter, every month the associate producer of Wizard101 (Dalia Falmea) Will post a short few paragraphs about wizard101 and new stuff coming to the spiral, ie Celestia! So this being the first month of this monthly letter they spew out some information you may or may not already know. The level cap will be raised to 60 also she says that "...you'll have lots of new cool toys to add to your arsenal. That's not to mention the seriously awe-inspiring new areas to adventure in and lots of goodies" So this looks to be one of the best updates of Wizard101 so far, but if that was not enough she also hints that something big is that she cant talk about just yet is coming soon or in her words "I can’t let the proverbial firecat out of the bag on that one yet…" Anyways check out the full article here

Also with this letter comes a picture of a shark that could be either a mount or a pet, it looks like it would be ride-able but the picture clearly says "pet version" So what do you guys think it is, A pet or a mount or both?

Extended Wizard101 MaintenanceAs part of our ongoing effort to improve Wizard101, we will be performing
extended maintenance on the game several times over the next few weeks.
Starting Wednesday July 28th, Wizard101 will be offline for 1 hour; from 3am
to 4am Central US Time.
Once the game is back online, Paying Players* will be able to log in
immediately and Free to Play players will have intermittent access.
Throughout the day, all players may experience delays logging their
characters in to the worlds.
Thank you for your patience while we continue to improve Wizard101 for all

Issues logging in

Well if you are having issues getting in the game, you are not alone everyone is having issues. Here is the announcemt from KI

As many of you are aware, we are currently experiencing some technical difficulties with the Wizard101 game service. As we work through these issues, we are temporarily limiting the number of players who can log into the game at one time. We’ve made this change due to the large number of players trying to log in simultaneously, which has led to noticeable delays when connecting to the game.

We will allow more and more players into the world as the issues are resolved. Login priority will be given first to paying customers, followed by our free player community. Also note that this delay is being caused on initial login only; there are no delays once you have entered the game, and subsequent attempts to connect should be noticeably faster.

Thank you for being patient as we work through these issues. We understand that this is an inconvenience, and we are doing everything we can to address it as quickly as possible.

Celestia Pre-Quest Live

The update to test has finnaly come around to the live realm, included in this update is Celestia Pre-Quest,new grizzleheim housing and a few minor updates. Below is all that's in the update

Begin your journey to Celestia An urgent message has come from a faraway world!. For those of you who have completed the Final Countdown quest in Dragonspyre, visit me, Halston Balestrom, in Ravenwood. I urgently need your assistance! These are the Preview Quests to Celestia. The world of Celestia will be available later this year. Note: Due to community feedback, these preview quests will not be required to gain entry to the new world of Celestia when it is released. Don't Fear the Reaper Snorri Oysterbloom in Grizzleheim wants to speak with you, but only if you've completed the quest "I'm with the Band"! If you like these quests, you may be interested in how they were developed and designed with Eric Bloom of Blue Oyster Cult. You can read more at Massively.

Crafting Updates


	Crafting comes to Grizzleheim Torald Wayfinder finally has a new set of recipes, bringing new Grizzleheim items for you to craft. But the really big news is that he was able to find a recipe for a Grizzleheim House! The crafted Grizzleheim house will be a definite challenge even for our Master Artisan Crafters. Please note this house can only be crafted once per character and if you already have the maximum number of houses (3) on that character, you will not be able to craft this house.

Housing Updates


	We know you love your homes, but sometimes unwanted guests arrive, so we're giving our players more ways to control who is in their house. There are now privacy options to only allow your Friends (but not their friends) to teleport to your home. Look for this in the Privacy Tab when you press ESC in the game. The owner of a house can send guests away with the "Send Away" option. Just click on a Wizard in your Home and the Friends panel will appear, where you will see the option to "Send Away". The Wizard that was sent away will receive the message "The owner asked you to leave." More excitement! With the supply routes to and from Grizzleheim populated with millions of Wizards, Grizzleheim housing is now available! Look for it in the Crowns Shop.

Pet Updates


	Some updates to pets, big and small. We listened to our players and reassessed some of the features associated with the Pet Pavilion. Details below. The prices for Hatching pets have been adjusted. The process of pet Hatching now has a confirmation window to ensure both parties agree to the transaction. All new level 48 quest reward pets will receive the Power Pip talent. Life pets such as the EarthWalker will have life boosts, not Myth like some currently give. IceZilla is now only available through the hatching process.

Dragonspyre Updates


	Changes are underway in Dragonspyre Based on the feedback of many of our Wizards, we have taken a long look at Dragonspyre and made some minor adjustments that will ensure that the world is fun and challenging both for players who play in groups, and for those who play solo. Living in a lava filled world has had an effect on the residents of Dragonspyre. the health of many creatures has decreased the experience rewards have been increased fewer creatures will need to be defeated to meet quest requirements fewer items will need to be collected to meet quest requirements several of the gauntlets have fewer rooms We feel these changes bring Dragonspyre more in-line with the difficulty to reward balance of the other worlds of the Spiral.

	Player vs Player In the next few days we will be implementing a temporary solution to the problem of chain stunning in the Player vs Player Arena. When a player is stunned, four Stun Shields will appear instead of one. Please note this is only a temporary solution while we investigate other ways to resolve the issue of chain stunning in the Arena. New Clothing A new Beastmaster Clothing Set is available in the Crowns Shop! It will increase your maximum Pet Energy! Residents of the Spiral Old Smokey has found a new place to hang out - look for him in the Ironworks Dusty Shadowcloud now offers more snacks for sale. A new Pet Shopkeeper has arrived in Marleybone! Badges The Master of the Oasis badge will once again be rewarded for completing all the Krokotopia quests. Those who have previously completed all the quests will receive the badge right away. The Savior of the Spiral badge will no longer be rewarded for simply participating in the duel that defeats Malistaire. Players must have and complete the quest to receive the badge from now on. Snacks The Commander Canteloupe has been promoted to Captain Canteloupe! Pets are now able to 'love' more snacks from their school. The humble Tomato will remain in the veggie aisle. Spells Third time's a charm. Feint will now correctly display the debuffs on the player and opponent, correctly reflecting what is displayed on the card. White squares should no longer appear around a spell when it is cast. Death Wizards will find their minions will cast more interesting spells. Earthquake will now remove prism spells and Spirit Armor created by Rebirth. Pets that come with a card will now appear to cast the spell when the Wizard chooses to cast that spell from their deck.. Other The Gift Icon and notification will now only appear when a player logs in. If you change areas, the notification will disappear, and you must log out and back in to see the notification again.
