Kingsisle's 2nd Project, Sooner Than We May Think

Ever since March of 2010 J. Todd Coleman has been the executive manager of what we only know as Kingsisle's Second Project. Very little information was known back when I first made a post about their project but fortunately that has changed somewhat. Now we have even more room for speculation and some cold hard facts about the 2nd project. Before we dive into the speculation lets take a look at the facts.

So as you can see we've learned a lot more since I first posted about the 2nd project. So all of this has been brought up recently because between now and last Thursday Kingsisle has completely changed their products page. This now shows Kingsisle Free Games, Wizard101, WizardBlox and of course their 2nd project. Scrolling through the products you will now see a few pictures of the product, luckily for us the same goes for each product. So yes we do have blurred pictures of Kingsisle's 2nd project, while they do not show much they show us what looks to be a part of a the UI and some of the locations we might come to expect in the 2nd project. So before you rush off to Kingsisle.com and look at the Products page take a look below at a much better picture without that pesky red label across one of the images.

Luckily the red label is not apart of the real picture but sadly we still have that big yellow question mark. Oh and if you were wondering where you can find the picture without the label it's in the source code for the website.

So now begins the wild speculation. In the first picture we can see what looks like an arctic area, perhaps this is some concept art for one of the locations in game or maybe, if we are lucky, it is a in game picture. Though it could very well be some clouds that have nothing to do with the 2nd project and was just put in as a place holder. The 2nd picture shows off a lush field with perhaps mountains in the background, again this could just be a placeholder. The last picture, and perhaps the most interesting of the 3, has the least amount of "blurage" of the other 2 but sadly it is the most covered up. There are 2 things we can pull from the last picture:

1. The UI, looking at the bottom of the picture you can see what appears to be the UI or User Interface. While it is not much it can tell us that at least in this stage of development there is a "utility belt" as I call it, think of it as all the pages in your spell book laid out horizontally at the bottom of your screen. 
2. If you zoom in towards the top left and the top right of the picture you will see a light reddish color. It could just be a maple tree or something of the world. The reason I even brought it up is it could be something of the world (like the sky). Because of the implication that the next game will be fantasy orientated. We all know that earth unfortunately does not have red skies so maybe the setting is indeed some far away land.

As time goes on we keep getting more and more information and eventually it will lead up to the reveal whether it be some random day or at a large event, such as PAX or GDC we do know that it will be "soon" and whether or not that goes by "Valve Time" is entirely up to even more speculation. For now all we can do is speculate off of wild guesses or from the very few facts we have, only time will tell if our speculations were correct or absurd, well speculations :)
